Daughter, Rise Up - A Devotional for Women

You weren’t made to shrink back. You were made to stand firm.  Not in your own strength— But in His strength within you.  You were not created to simply “hold it together.” You were created to build , to nurture , to fight on your knees , and to reflect the heart of God in your home, your relationships, and your calling. You are not second-class in the Kingdom. You are not invisible to the King. You are His daughter. And you were made for this.   “ The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. ” (Proverbs 14:1) Your presence—your peace, your prayers, your perseverance—have more power than you think. God has called you to be a builder , not a breaker. To use your words to plant life , not to poison with fear or frustration. Even in the moments when you feel unseen, exhausted, or unappreciated—He sees. And He’s not asking you to carry it all. He’s asking you to trust Him with it all. There’s a strength in you that this world ca...

WHERE FAITH MEETS MANHOOD - A Devotional for Men

Christ didn't call you to survive. He called you to LEAD. Not when it's easy. Not when you feel ready. Not when it's convenient. When it's hardest. That's where faith meets manhood. That's where leadership is forged. You were not made to coast through life. You were made to lead with purpose.  The enemy isn’t afraid of a man who goes through the motions. He fears the man who gets on his knees, opens the Word, and leads his family with humility and power. " Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love. ” ( 1 Corinthians 16:13-14) That's the call: Stand firm, Be strong. Do it in love.  Being the head of the house isn’t about dominance or control. It’s about  sacrifice.  It’s about  dying to self.  “ Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. ”  (Ephesians 5:25) Jesus didn’t love the church with convenience. He led from a place of pain, from the cross. He...

With God, For God, Because of God

Feeling stuck, hopeless, lost, and discouraged with no sense of what the future holds. For some time, I felt stuck. Stuck in my relationship with God and in life. My vision for this website wasn’t fully coming to fulfillment, and for some time now, I have had a new vision, dream, idea, or however you want to call it, stirred up in my heart. But feeling stuck in the “what’s next?”, “how do I start?”, “I’m not capable of it,” and all these other thoughts or excuses come up. So I just leave it as it is, without doing anything about it. All the ideas, desires, and potential just stay that—they stay as ideas, desires, and potentials. Making me feel stuck. But then I read Isaiah 41, a chapter with a message of comfort and hope. Although I am not being exiled by a nation like the Israelites were at this time, I needed these words and encouragement. If you have ever felt like God has forgotten you, or that your circumstances are beyond hope—my prayer is that as you read this, you are als...

A Reminder to : TRUST

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6) This is a reminder, that even when life feels like a complicated puzzle, there's a serene joy in surrendering to a greater understanding. When we embrace this trust, it's like unlocking a treasure chest filled with purpose and clarity. Embracing this faith can transform our outlook, turning uncertainty into opportunity and challenges into stepping stones. As we navigate the twists and turns of life, trusting in God rather than ourselves provides a guiding light, illuminating the path forward with hope and courage. Each step taken in faith becomes a testament to resilience and wisdom, allowing us to walk with confidence and an open heart. In this journey, we find that the true essence of life lies not just in reaching our destination, but in the growth and understanding we gain along the way.

God KNOWS

I will bless the Lord who guides me, even at night my heart instructs me. I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me. (Psalm 16:7-8) I came across this scripture while reading another devotional. This devotional was a 30 Day devotional with over 30 plus scriptures in it. But this particular scripture stayed with me. One thing that I know for sure is that God KNOWS His children. He knows your thoughts, needs, weaknesses, and also your strengths. We are His children and He is our refuge, strength and a very present help in trouble. Receiving this reassurance of knowing that the Lord  is always with me and that He  is always right beside me, gives me this comfort and protection that no ones else can give me.Sometimes, we do feel like we're   all alone, having no one to truly understand our trials or situations, but knowing that the Lord is always with us is a Joy like no other. The Lord will never leave us nor forsake us,...

be still.

Feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and burnt out. While overthinking if it’s just you overreacting. Feeling a pressure on your chest so tight, so heavy that it feels like it’s about to take you down. Having a hard time falling asleep, and for some reason, it’s so hard to stay still – restless leg syndrome at an all-time high. But why? What has caused it? Why do tears come out so easily? Why so frustrated and easily triggered? BE STILL! Breath! Shut up mind!! Be still, please just be still.     Reading Psalm 147.   He covers, he supplies, he provides – when you call.    He strengthens, blesses, and grants you peace.   Praise the Lord.    Calming. Pressure releasing. But leg keeps bouncing. He covers me. He supplies what I need. He’s my provider. He gives me strength. Blessings come from Him. HE GRANTS ME PEACE. I want Him. More of Him, less of me. Less of my thoughts, more of His truth. Leg stopped. Tears start. Peace. This is peace. Peace is a blessin...

From bad to worse

Reading Job starts by giving us a good picture of who Job is. He is a man of God who intercedes for his family. He is such a man of God, that even God brags about him. “There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” Then God gives the enemy permission to “shake things up” or “stir the pot” in Job’s life. Where one thing after another happens, he loses his ox, donkeys, servants, sheep, camels, and children. He literally got this news one after the other. Rather than complaining, cursing God, or getting angry, he fell on the ground and worshiped. “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.” (Job1:20 NIV) How do you respond when you get bad news? Are you quick to get angry, stress out, or allow your emotions to take over? You see the enemy can take things or people out of your life but one thing he can’t take away is your worship. When you...

No More Mourning

1 Samuel 16:1 “The Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king.”   As I read 1 Samuel 16, it really had me self-examine my life. How many times do I mourn something God has already rejected? Such as a job, relationship, or opportunity. We can’t stay there. Yes, it sucks when things do not go as planned, expected, or hoped. But we must trust and believe that God already has something better for us. You see, God could have easily revealed to Samuel who He chose to be king. But God gave him instructions rather than answers. He said, “Fill your horn with oil and be on your way.” In other words, you just have to fill yourself with God and move on in faith. I believe God often doesn’t allow us to know exactly what he has in store for us because if He told us, we wouldn’t believe it. God had already c...

Am I not.....

“When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you,  mighty warrior .” “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “ but if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?   Where are all his wonders  that our ancestors told us about when they said, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.”  The Lord turned to him  and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand.  Am I not  sending you?” “ Pardon me, my lord ,” Gideon replied…” Judges 6:12-19   Know who God says you are, not who you feel, think, or have been told.   I love the story of Gideon because I feel like I can relate to him. For many years, because of my surroundings and upbringing, I believed the lie of never being able to accomplish anything in life, along with many other lies. I know many people who struggle to accept the TRUTH of who God has called us...

So that you may know…

Moses summoned all the Israelites and said to them: Your eyes have seen all that the Lord did in Egypt to Pharaoh, to all his officials and to all his land. 3 With your own eyes you saw those great trials, those signs and great wonders. 4 But to this day the Lord has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear. 5 Yet the Lord says, “During the forty years that I led you through the wilderness, your clothes did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet. 6 You ate no bread and drank no wine or other fermented drink. I did this so that you might know that I am the Lord your God.” – Deuteronomy 29:2-6 NIV There are many trials and tribulations we face, and as we face them, we do not understand Why, How, or When. When I thought my marriage was over, I did not know why it was happening.  Why  was I feeling so alone and empty by the one I love most? I did not know  how  God was going to turn my situation around. Nor did I know  when ...
