Have you been praying for someone or something to happen for a long period of time but have yet to see it? Or has God given you a promise that has yet to be fulfilled? As I read Exodus 2:23-25, I was reminded that God moves even in the unseen, unfelt, and unknown moments in our lives. You see, at this moment, the Israelites have been captive for years and were groaning and crying out to God. God did not only hear them, but He remembered His promise, looked at them, and was concerned. That is when He calls Moses to go back to Egypt to free the Israelites. I do not know what you have been crying to God for, but just don’t give up. Don’t stop. No matter how long it has been, it does not mean God forgot or that He doesn’t care. He sees you, hears you, cares, and is moving, even when you can’t see or feel it. And trust me, I know it’s not always easy to keep holding on, believing, or finding the words to pray. But in those moments when the words escape you, He still hears, understands, cares, and moves.
Prayer:
Thank you, God, because you are a good good father who works ALL things for good. Help me to believe even when I don’t understand. Enable me to focus on your goodness and not the chaos around me. I'm letting go of ALL control, trusting in you and your promises. I just ask that you renew my strength like the eagles so I may not grow tired or weary. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
