His Love

John 11:34-36

A lot can be learned here. John 11:35 is the shortest verse in the Bible, but it is not unimportant. God holds the universe in the palm of His hand. He sees and knows everything there is, and nothing is out of His reach. Despite all this, "Jesus wept"(John 11:35). He mourned the loss. God, who is transcendent and far beyond mankind, wept with mankind He mourned with us. Not only did He come into this world but He really lived in it, experiencing life just as we do. If you ever feel like God doesn't care or is unfeeling toward us, remember this one short verse, and see the love He has for us. See that He knows and understands us. The next verse tells us that the people could see from His weeping how much Jesus loved His friend. Know that God cares for you and He cares about you. You can turn to Him, and He will save you, He will give you victory, He will comfort you. He knows you and He loves you.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, Thank you for being close. Thank you for choosing to love us. Thank you for choosing to love me and everyone I know. Dear Lord, thank you for showing your love to us. When I cry, remind me, Jesus, that you cried too. When I am hurt, remind me that you were hurt too. When I forget that you love us, remind me how you have loved us, and remind me that you still love us. Help me to love, as You love us. In Jesus name, Amen.
